An affectionate gorilla is going viral on Tik Tok after a visitor to the Columbus Zoo in Ohio, USA, took a video of him trying to kiss her daughter, Noah.
This is an older video that has been resurfaced due to its posting on Tik Tok.
What happened
Hannah Pearson held Noah near a window, with an Ohio Zoo gorilla standing behind it, when the animal tried to kiss her through the glass.
The gorilla, as reported by the Daily Mail, was incredibly calm throughout the video and Noah didn’t notice what the animal tried to do.

However, the younger children couldn’t help but laugh as soon as the gorilla took his lips from the window.
This particular gorilla was born on December 22, 1956 and was named Colo.
Over 3 million views on social media
Pearson’s TikTok video has received nearly four million views since it resurfaced earlier this week.
The Columbus Zoo in Powell is famous for its history of gorilla conservation and was the first zoo in the world to welcome a baby gorilla in captivity.
This particular gorilla was born on December 22, 1956 and was named Colo.
Colo remained at the zoo until she died in her sleep in 2017 at the age of 60, exceeding the life expectancy of a captive gorilla by over 20 years.
Colo’s last surviving offspring, Toni, also lived out his life at the Columbus Zoo and died in 2020 due to declining health.
Today, the zoo is home to several species of gorilla and on June 29 celebrated the birth of a baby western lowland gorilla.
