Veteran NBA mega star Michael Jordan saw the Battista at a car show in Monterey, California, and without revealing its identity, had initiated the procedures to acquire it.
The model that priced at a price of over 2 million eurosis one of 150 that will be built in total by Pininfarina, the company that is the commercial “continuation” of the famous design car house.
This new purchase of Jordan’s comes to certify once again his love for fast cars, with the collection he has acquired including some very special models. Just last year, he had acquired a Hennessey Venom F5 Roadsterwhich is theoretically even rarer since the manufacturer has stated that it will build only 30 units.
The new acquisition is purely electric and has 4 motors – one for each wheel. It has a battery with a capacity of 130 kWh which, according to the manufacturer, is enough for a range of 476 kilometers. This apparently “small” range is justified by the total output of 1,900 hp and 2,340 Nm of torque, which in turn make the Battista capable of extraordinary performance.
Acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h takes just 1.86 seconds (0-200 km/h in 4.75 seconds…) and a top speed of 350 km/h. The two-seater this targa model, weighs 2,063 kg and of course is as special as any petrolhead around the world can imagine. It is worth noting that the Battista is supplied by the manufacturer with an audio system to produce sound that matches its performance by simulating engine operation – especially in the Furiosa mode.
