More like a hotel than a plane: British Airways has unveiled its new luxury suites

British Airways has unveiled its new first class cabins and travelers are in for a treat.

OR British Airways revealed the brand new top spots for the Airbus A380 OR airline showed off its new suites at a glitzy ceremony on Monday night (25/11) at Waterside HQ.

The new suites, which have been in the works for six years, will be fitted to all aircraft Airbus A380 her airline and are expected to “inaugurate” in mid-2026. This upgrade is the first to be made to the front seats since 2020, when the airline upgraded the seats in several of the Boeing 777 of her fleet.

According to her British Airwaysthe new cabins have been designed with “specialized British craftsmanship” to give the feeling of being in modern luxury hotelwhile at the same time providing “home comforts” for them travelers.

The suite features an extra-wide seat that easily converts into a bed. The seats can be adjusted at the touch of a button and are located inside a mini room for a feeling of ‘total privacy’.

The travelers they will also be able to use the seat’s all-new do-not-disturb function, which alerts the crew not to disturb them during the meal.

Elsewhere, soft padding helps absorb sound and the window blinds can also be controlled at the touch of a button.

For customers traveling together, the partition in the center of the cabin opens to create a shared lounge, while the tables are set with a remote control so customers can enjoy their meals together.
