How powerful is the passport in your pocket?
A passport it is considered “strong” when it gives you a number of advantages, such as being able to visit several countries without the need to obtain a visa.
According to the VisaGuide’s Passport Indexwell, which was recently updated for 2024, currently Singaporean passport holders are at the top of the respective list. And that’s because with a total score of 91.27/100, it has been officially declared the strongest passport in the world.
The VisaGuide score is based on factors such as ease of global mobility, visa-free access, visa-on-arrival, e-visas, embassy-approved visas, passport-free travel or whether passport holders are denied entry in some countries.
For each destination other factors are also taken into account and finally an assessment is made for each country in order to produce the annual scoreboard.
In second place is Finlandthe most valid European passport must-have, while Spain, Denmark and Italy round out the rest of the top five.
OR Greece it is in 19th place, just below Belgium, with our passport allowing us to travel to a total of 104 countries without the need for a visa. On the other hand, at three last positions of the list are Somalia, Afghanistan and Syria, with passport holders from these states facing many restrictions on their travel.
