After making her first headline appearance at the UK’s famous Glastonbury festival, Dua Lipa walked off stage to try and enjoy the rest of the festival, only to be interrupted by a fan who asked her to listen to one of his pieces, even pulling out a ukulele to do it.
“I love it man, it’s so good”
Musician Liam C shared a clip on Instagram of the moment he approached the ‘Dance the Night’ singer, apologizing for bothering her, before congratulating her on the Camden documentary. He then makes her listen to one of his songs to get her reaction on camera.
“He did more than enough. She seemed embarrassed to have someone filming her. This is a natural reaction regardless of reputation. He didn’t really know what was going on or what to expect, so of course he was looking for the exit.”
Liam C then starts singing with Dua Lipa nodding politely in the background, smiling, laughing, before walking off, but not before telling Liam C: “I love it man, it’s so good.” Oh, and agree to his request for a quick hug too.
And it didn’t take long for social media users to chime in on the ‘awkward’ moment, with many supporting Dua Lipa.
One user wrote: “It looks like she’s desperate to get away,” while another added: “That was very uncomfortable.”
However, a third commented: ‘Everyone says she looked embarrassed. This is a natural reaction when strangers sing in front of your face.”
A fourth added: “She was kind! She could tell him to disappear. The public does not own her and certainly has no right to demand her attention.”
And a fifth opined: “He did more than enough. She seemed embarrassed to have someone filming her. This is a natural reaction regardless of reputation. He didn’t really know what was going on or what to expect, so of course he looked for the exit. He only exposed her for the fact that she was quite normal. If someone stopped me like that on the street, I’d probably kick it tbf.’
However, others applauded Liam C for his bold move.
