Airbnb has launched a brand new experience and you can book your place starting next week.
With his second film “Gladiator» to be released in cinemas and Paul Mescal now taking the place of Russell Crowe, the Colosseum and the Rome looks like they’re getting a lot of hype again.
Apparently, there are not a few who dream of themselves in a suit of armor, fighting in the iconic Colosseum. Well, this experience is now coming to give us the gift of Airbnb.
The company recently announced that it is bringing a brand new addition to the line “icons», on the occasion of the release of Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II. Yes, you read that very well. We will of course clarify at this point that what you will be booking is not accommodation – although it is via Airbnb – so unfortunately, you will not be sleeping among the world-famous ruins of Rome.
However, what you are about to do is quite original. As part of the experience, visitors will be greeted by someone called a “master of ceremonies” and led through the gates of the Colosseum.
The next step is preparing for battle. Guests will choose their gladiator type, don their armor and, after making their way through the torch-lit passages of the arena, test their skills in a real (and very safe) showdown.
