‘Summer in the South’ is at it again, with a video that has gone viral within hours of being posted on YouTube.
In 2022, the unlikely grandmothers who star in the videos of the radio team of the show “Summer in the South” by Giorgos Balothiaris and Gogos Verigos had started a feud with the trappers.
In 2023, the grandmothers couldn’t help but deal with the elections since they even managed to… found a party.
Grandmothers with their amazing sayings are the best advertisement for the radio show
Their fame soared, they took all the glory and the grandparents of Crete couldn’t stand it, as shown in the new video released today, Wednesday.
The front man in the reaction of grandparents to grandmothers who don’t stop giving interviews is none other than the famous cook Ilias Mamalakis.
He suggests to the company based in a coffee shop that they release a video better than the grandmothers’ ones.

Grandfather Kostis, the coffee shop owner, however, does not look optimistic, as he states in the video since “he is not in showbiz”, although he goes to the sheep in a pink suit.
And then Ilias Mamalakis emphasizes that the issue is psychology and that they should hit the grandmothers where it hurts: in the food.
He asks Kostis what the cafe has for food today and as soon as he replies that he has staca with eggs (a traditional dish in Crete) he shouts: “This is it”.
