A representative of the manufacturing company Afaad Ltd he told KentOnline it was the only way they could meet the delivery deadline as they had been waiting several months for permission from Medway Council so “we couldn’t remove the pillar”.
The company based in Chatham he also told the PA news agency that the lamppost is to be removed and is awaiting permission from the local council.
