Amazing feat by British traveler: He travels around Europe without taking a day off from work

A 35-year-old Briton has been traveling all over Europe and hasn’t missed a single day of work.

A 35 year old traveler has managed to do ‘extreme’ day trips as a hobby – covering thousands of kilometers in just 24 hours. THE Michael Cracknell spends his free time traveling throughout the Europe. And he does all this in one day, so he doesn’t have to take permission from his work, while he also uses the SK to rest from his short trips.

Photographer by profession, o Michaelfrom Haywards Heath, is also the founder of the Extreme Day Trips Facebook group – which has more than 250,000 members.

THE Michael explained how he did it in a recent interview saying: “There were people who were quite wary at first and didn’t think I could do trips in a day. I wanted to prove that it is easy. This is how the movement was born…

From there it evolved and became what it is today. I am amazed at how popular it has become. I had no idea something like this would happen. All done in one day, so you don’t have to take time off work and you still have one day left of the weekend to relax, do your shopping and do your laundry.

Then you can go to work on Monday and say “oh, I passed through Athens at the weekend” and you haven’t used any vacation days.

I didn’t really like being away from home for long periods of time, so day trips were the perfect answer to travel for me.” notes.

THE Cracknell says his love of day trips began in 2002, when he trained to be a pilot and visited Toulouse with his father.

In 2020, he rekindled his passion for 24-hour adventures and booked a bunch of trips, before the Covid 19 pandemic put a pause on his hobby.
