A TikTok video revealed Brenda Lee’s real age when she performed ‘Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree’ and users were ‘shocked’.

People have started listening to the music of the holidays and the Christmas time songs either old or new which have started to be played on the radio.
One of the most famous Christmas songs is the Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree which was first released in 1958 – but still remains one of the most popular holiday songs today.

However, the fans of the song remained “dumbfounded” when they discovered a curious fact about who sings it.
When we think of the tune, most of us probably recognize the version performed by American girl singer Brenda Lee. This is the original recording and is the one heard in the famous scene “Alone at home“, where the Kevin throws a fake house party to scare away burglars who are about to break in.
TikToker Jasmine Chiswell, stated that “he was in shock” when he discovered that lead singer Brenda was much younger than he thought when he recorded the song. Her distinctive voice and singing style bring to mind someone with decades of vocal experience. But actually it was barely 13 years old when he recorded it – a fact that has left people stunned.
In the TikTok video, the captions on the screen read: “To think that this song was sung by a 13-year-old and not an 80-year-old…” with Jasmine looking really shocked.
