With the price of lamb being hot this year, a butcher shop in Evosmos, Thessaloniki, went viral urging consumers to switch to skewers.
He even advises his customers to place their orders as early as possible due to the high demand.
As the owner of the business, Michalis Magdakis, said, the price of lambs per kilo started at 13 euros, today consumers saw it hanging on the wall at 15.80, while, in the coming days, if he brings more carcasses, probably the cost in them to increase even more.
Estimates for smaller quantities
However, as he estimates, many will again be those who will buy the traditional lamb or goat for the Easter table, but certainly in much smaller quantities.
At the same time, the central market of Thessaloniki moves at an Easter pace, with intensive controls and the traffic has started to heat up in Kapani.
