In fact, a man recently struck gold after finding his rarest 50p coin United Kingdom in his inventory. The Atlantic Salmon design, which has King Charles III on the reverse, is highly sought after and eventually sold for hundreds of pounds.
More recently, TikTok user @CoinCollectingWizard, who has 191,400 followers, explained that he was in possession of the £2p coin with the Shakespeare’s tragedieswhich won a remarkable price £123, about 60 times its value. These coins were issued to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the poet’s death and are truly rare.
Each of the three coins honors a different genre of Shakespeare’s works – tragedies, comedies and stories. So why is this coin so special? The user said: “The coin is so special, it has nothing to do with its value. There is an error on the edge of the coin and this error has attracted the interest of dozens of collectors.
