Hacker explains how a common charger cable can be used to steal your personal data.

In the video, Mr hacker connects the “ordinary looking cable» on his computer. “With this cable connected I have full access to this computer“, he explains.

He clicks on a program on his phone, which opens access to the laptop, saying, “This is a fully functional cable, you can still charge a phone with it. Never trust a cable that isn’t yours and if you’re really worried, get a USB data blocker».

Costing up to 200 euros per device, it looks like an ordinary cable to charge your phone. But it isn’t. Instead, it is equipped with one gadgets for internet service and has Wi-Fi access.

The creator of the cable, Mike Groverstated of their invention: “It’s a cable that looks identical to the other cables you already have. But inside each cable, I place an implant that has a web server, USB communications, and Wi-Fi access. So it connects it, activates it, and you can connect to it.”
