A woman has revealed how she gave it up United Kingdom to buy her dream mansion in Bulgaria.

The 43-year-old Donna Hardy and her family moved this year from Scunthorpe at United Kingdom in a huge house near Veliko Tarnavo in the north Bulgaria.

The mother of three claims she only paid 26,000 euros for the property, which includes a smaller house at the back, a “huge” barn, several outbuildings and about an acre of land.

She described her new home as a “real palace” and said she and her family are “very happy with it”.

In a video that has garnered more than 1.5 million viewsDonna pointed to TikTok her new residence and the world was amused.

He said: “We paid 26,000 euros for this housebut we didn’t get only this house, as around the house there is another small “mini” house, there is a huge barn, we have outbuildings and we also have the garage along with an acre of land… At the moment, as you can you see, we’re still trying to unpack a lot of things.”

Donna’s daughter Elise even bought the property next door for £21,000 – and a smaller one for £7,000.

She explained that from January 2024, the average house price in the UK is £282,200, while in London it reaches £518,000. In comparison, the north of Bulgaria has an average price of €26,574, according to Move 2 Bulgaria, making it one of the cheapest areas to live in Europe.
