Hawk Tuah: The street girl rant that “broke” social media

Delirium has caused social media in recent days a street interview of a young woman, who, along with her friend, were asked to answer “peppery” questions.

The video was shot in Nashville and has gone viral online, with Hailey now being dubbed the ‘Hawk Tuah Girl’.

“What can you do in bed that drives a man crazy every time?”

The video, posted by creative duo Tim and Dee TV on June 11, captures a young woman, Hayley, and her friend being asked questions of a romantic nature, such as “how do you get over a breakup?”

But the question that “threw” the internet was “what can you do in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?”.

One of the two girls responded with humor, saying you should do the ‘Hawk Tuah’, and ‘Spit on that thing’.

“Hawk Tuah” is actually an imitation of the sound we make when we spit.

Chaos on social media

The rant sparked a series of countless comments, videos, and plays on social media, and was even remixed.

The youngster, said to be called Hayley, took advantage of the sudden notoriety of her line and licensed the use of her phrase to Fathead Threads, a company that makes hats – for $50 with her signature and $40 without – and which has today sold out.

However, according to Rolling Stone, citing a post from the Tippah County Tribune account, the woman was fired from her job as a teacher.

“We have kids spitting on each other. They really look up to her as a role model and emulate the things she does,” an account for the school read.

Another stressed: “We love Hayley, but unfortunately we cannot allow this type of behavior from one of our faculty members.”
