THE Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria (Spanish: Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria) (December 1, 1949 – December 2, 1993) was a Colombian baron drugsleading figure of the Medellín Cartel. He is often referred to as the “king of cocaine” and was one of the richest criminals of all time.
In 1989, he was named by the American magazine Forbes as the seventh richest man in the world with a fortune that, according to estimates, amounted to 9 billion dollars…. Escobar he faced threats from the Colombian police, the US government and his rival, the Cali Cartel.
