A driver of the Katerini urban bus service left the passengers at their homes due to the bad weather.

Because of the intense precipitation that broke out in the area, the Dimitra Tziatziou who was behind his wheel bus which operated the evening route CatherineNea Efessos, Kontariotissa, Agios Spyridon, Vrontos, Karitsa, Diou decided to drop off all passengers close to their homes so that they would not suffer.
The issue was highlighted by the Katerini Press page at Facebookwhile the driver spoke to the Action 24 camera about her specific act.
“I think I went viral for no reason. I didn’t do anything special…. I was on night shift on a line that goes to 5-6 villages. At that time there were a lot of people inside the bus.” he initially reported.
“For three days in Katerini, incredible rain, hail and lightning fell. Normally I wouldn’t have to because we drop off and pick up people from the stops. Out of the 30 passengers, 12 asked me if I could drop them off near their homes. Without a second thought I left them nearby so they wouldn’t have an accident or get wet“, he continued.
“I would do it again. When I have an 87-year-old passenger with a cane who can’t walk, could I leave him 100 meters to the stop in the rain? I wouldn’t do it… I really love what I do”he added.
