A photo of 1941 depicting a young boy holding an object resembling iPad has caused a frenzy among its users social mediawith some arguing that it could be proof that time travel is indeed possible.
The black-and-white image, captured by photographer Edwin Rosskam, captures a group of children queuing outside a Chicago movie theater, offering a window into a bygone era. However, it is not the historical context that has captivated viewers, but rather a curious detail at the far right of the frame.

In the photo, a boy, smartly dressed in a suit and hat, appears to be holding what some say looks suspiciously like iPad. The similarity with its popular device Applewhich was first released in 2010, caused a firestorm of speculation online, with its users Reddit and other “detectives” of social media to discuss this subject. Some believe this is irrefutable proof that time travel is real, suggesting that the boy may have obtained the device in the present before somehow traveling back to 1941.
While the more skeptical might claim that the object is most likely a book, a notebook or perhaps a toy. The idea of time travel has long fascinated people, and this photo is the latest in a series of so-called “proofs” to fuel the imaginations of conspiracy theorists and science fiction fans.
Despite the fact that the image came to light four years ago, it continues to intrigue viewers and spark debate about what might be possible in the realm of time travel.
